ISO7242C - Same power supply on both sides

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM1117, ISO7242C

Hello guys. I'm designing a simple energy meter and I have a question about the isolation.

For developing purposes I need to isolate my MCU from the Power IC, so I can interface my PC with the MCU.

But, when I have everything ready, all ICs on the board are going to receive the same 3.3V and will have the same ground, everything from a LM1117.

I'm thinking about two jumpers that, if disconnected, will open the 3.3V-GND from the "hot" side of the board to the MCU, and will isolate everything, making it possible for me to connect my PC via USB (and power everything from the MCU side from the usb 5V). (I know, if I forget to remove the jumper and connect the usb everything will blow)

My question is, when everything on the board is being powered from the same 3.3V-GND from the LM1117, will it be a problem for the  ISO7242C receiving the same VCC and GND on both sides?

 Thanks!

Any comments are appreciated, if there is a better way of doing what I want to do, please, tell me!
