Hi Folks,

We are designing a USB HUB(1:2) using TUSB4020BI. One of the hub port connects to Ethernet controller and other port goes to Micro USB OTG port. As of my knowledge hub doesn't support for OTG feature. But, I have to access both Ethernet controllers and OTG port simultaneously using HUB. I am separately connecting USB ID pin of processor directly to USB connector ID Pin.

Please see below architecture implementation of USB HUB block diagram. Can you please let us know, Is this solution works?

Hello Swapna,

I am sorry for the delay, this configuration will not work. The Hubs are intended by specification to work in one direction and there is no way to make them work as you want (that's why the terms upstramport and downstreamport).

However you can use a USB switch between the processor and the HUB controlled by the ID pin, in this way you can use either 2 USB devices (HUB is active) or one controller attached to the uAB connector.
