Hi

The customer is evaluting LV24EVK01 with DS92LV2421/2422 BIST mode.

If the 25.175MHz clock is input to DS92LV2421, then the same clock 25.175MHz is output in DS92LV2422.

And LED1 and LED2 in receiver is lighted up.

1. When the clock is 25.175MHz, the transmission rate is :
24bit * 25.175MHz = 604.2Mbps. Is this right?

2. What is the data of the payload.
Is that the data which is result of 8B/10B conversion?

BestRegards

  • Hello,

    1. Actually the serial stream in addition to the 24-bit data also contains an embedded clock, video control signals, and the DC-balance information. Which comes to a total of 28bits, this means that the transmission rate is 28bits*25.175MHz = ~705Mbps.
    2. As for the payload in BIST mode, it sends a PRBS-7 pattern. This pattern is not 8B/10B encoding since our devices use a proprietary encoding.
