DP159 PRBS and custom pattern monitor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP159RGZEVM

Hello,

I would like to use the DP159 PRBS monitor function to test the video port on our product.  Our product support both DisplayPort (RBR, HBR and HBR2), and HDMI2.0.  In DisplayPort mode, it can generate raw PRBS7 over each lane and in HDMI mode, it can generate PRBS23 over a HDMI frame.

I have a DP159RGZEVM evaluation board in my lab but I am not able to get the DP159 to detect the PRBS7 pattern from our product.  On our product, I setup the DisplayPort to output a PRBS7 signal on each of the 4 lane at 1.6Gbps.

I have try using the eyescan tool pattern detection GUI and also tried accessing register directly.  E.g.:

1) write to reg 10h [5:3] to 000 for PRBS7

2) write to reg 10h [2:0] to 001 for PRBS

3) Monitor reg 0Fh [3:0] until PV_TIP is low

4) Monitor reg 0Fh [7:4] for pattern match

Is there more information on how to configure the PRBS or custom pattern monitor in the DP159?

Thanks,

Alfred
