Part Number: DS125BR800
Hi, We are using this part as a probe on a PCIe Gen3 link. Do you have a more detailed listing of the 256 different equalization settings? We would like to explore whatever total gain is available, but with less HF boost. In other words, set it up to be as flat as possible gain over the frequency range. Does it use an AGC loop to achieve the VOD settings?
To achieve a flat gain curve, I would switch over to the DS125BR820 and use the minimum CTLE setting.
This will produce the flattest possible curve. The DS125BR800 has a multi-stage CTLE which will result in higher gain settings even with the lowest settings.
We are glad that we were able to resolve this issue, and will now proceed to close this thread.

Here are the equalization values for all the pin configurations. These give a very good spread from minimum to maximum CTLE.
