DS90UR124-Q1: Converting from RGB to standardized interface

Part Number: DS90UR124-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TFP410, DS90UR241-Q1

Hi Team,

I am trying to convert the RGB output of the DS90UR124-Q1 into a standardized output that I can put onto a screen and see my image. Something like VGA or HDMI. I have already taken a look at the TFP410 to make this conversion, but I believe the TFP410 takes SW and programming to make it work properly. Is there a device that can make this conversion that requires little to no SW?

Thanks in advance,

Jared

  • Hi Jared,

The DS90UR124-Q1 cannot remap the output.  The DS90UR124-Q1 will have the outputs assigned from the serializer. For example if the serializer is a DS90UR241-Q1 then DIN[0] will map to DOUT[0] on the deserializer DS90UR124-Q1.  This pin assignments are hard wired on the PCB.

I looked at the TFP410 datasheet and it doesn't look like there is any remapping function either.  Typically the input and output assignments are also hard wired.

So the connection between the DS90UR124-Q1 and TFP410 are also hard wired and again the pin assignments depend how the hard wire assignments where done on the board.

    Hope this answers your question.
