DS92LV2421: Support YUV data by Channel link

Guru 16770 points
Part Number: DS92LV2421

Hi

I have questions about DS92LV2421/2422.

1. Does this device support YUV?

2. Is the control signal we can send data enable, HS, VS only?

3. I assume the following.

RGB/YUV -> Serializer -> Deserializer -> RGB/YUV

What is the difference between FPDlink and Channel link?

What is the difference between Channel link II and III?

BestRegards

  • Hi na na,

    1. Yes, the DS92LV2421/22 can support YUV signaling. All that is required is that the number of parallel inputs and the pixel clock frequency is supported by the device.

    2. The DS92LV2421/22 is designed for the control signals to send DE, HS, and VS. There are control signal filters to handle these inputs accordingly to defend against glitches. I recommend that these control signals remain to be used for DE, HS, and VS.

    3. FPD-Link and Channel-Link are very similar, but for different industry spaces. FPD-Link is optimized for Automotive applications, and Channel-Link is optimized for industrial applications.

    Channel Link III is similar to Channel Link II, but Channel Link III supports bidirectional communication for low-speed signals. This is particularly useful for transmitting GPIOs and I2C across the same link as the serialized data rather than using a separate cable.

    Regards,
