LMH0384: Alternate return loss inductor

Before we make a recommendation, can you provide some more info about why the Murata device will not work? Is there a limitation in the part selection that we must be mindful of when suggesting an alternate?

Hi Michael.

I work for L3, a defense contractor. And Murata will not sell to defense contractors.

One possible candidate I ran across was the AVX L04025H6BHNTR, www.avx.com/.../

Would that work? Or do you work with other companies than Murata with similar results?

Thanks for the background. I understand. I reviewed the part you recommended, and I think it is a good fit.

The key is simply to find a device that has similar characteristics to the Murata device. I believe there are several vendors that can provide inductors meeting similar requirements.

I reviewed the inductance, tolerance, current rating, DCR, Q-rating, and Self-Resonance of the AVX inductor, and I think it is comparable, if not slightly better in performance, than the Murata device.
