TPD12S521: [TPD12S521] backdrive protection / part 2

Part Number: TPD12S521

In our board, we are faced with the problem of current leakage through the TMDS lines (DVI) to the switched-off board, whereupon a potential appears in the power circuit.

We plan to use the TPD12S521 chip to solve this problem. In the description of the TPD12S521 it is indicated that it provides backdriver protection on TMDS lines.

Can you explain how backdriver protection works on TMDS lines, will it help solve our problem?

Input and output lines TMDS galvanically linked? From the description on the chip, it can be assumed that the TMDS lines do not have a direction in the chip, which means they are galvanically connected and connected to them by ESD protection.
