TPS25741A: PMP20807 with TPS5450-Q1

Part Number: TPS25741A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS5450-Q1, PMP20807, , TPS25741, TPS5450

Hello,

I would like to replicate the PMP20807 reference design with TPS25741A and TPS5450-Q1 as the converter. Do you think the latter is a suitable alternative to LMS3635A?

Thanks,

Arnaud

  • Hi Arnaud,

The TPS5450-Q1 seems like it should work fine for this application.  There's a TPS25741/TPS25741A Design Calculator Tool to make sure you have the correct feedback resistors.  I would recommend asking the TPS5450 team as well just to make sure.  They will have a better idea of how their buck will perform in this application.  The only interaction the TPS25741 has with the DCDC converter is changing the resistors that are in the FB path to adjust the output voltage of the DCDC.

    Regards,
