Hello,

I’m trying to interface several cameras using Serializer DS90UB913A-Q1, I have not selected the Deserializer yet, and however the assembled board TIDA-00421 listed on your website is good starting point for my project. I have few questions:

1)       I’m looking for ~15m distance do you think that the FPD-Link III SERIALIZER (DS90UB913A-Q1) is a good fit for this application.

2)       Since I have multiple cameras to interface what will be the matching DESERIALIZER

3)       How to get one of the assembled boards TIDA-00421

    Hi,

    1. Yes, DS90UB913A could support 15m with coax cable.

    2. How many cameras do you have to interface with? DS90UB964 is our camera hub which could connect to 4 serializers.

    3. I will have to get back to you on this.

    I think i will be using "DS90UB954-Q1 Dual FPD-Link III Deserializer Hub With MIPI CSI-2 Outputs". I'm limited to 2-line MIPI outputs because of 6 cameras (>2MP) application.

    I think Serializer in this case will be DS90UB953-Q1. 

    1) please let me know if we still in the range of 15m

    2) 6 cameras 1080p (2MP)

    What is the camera data output format? DS90UB953-Q1 requires CSI-2 output from the camera, and DS90UB913A/DS90UB933A requires RAW output from the camera.
    DS90UB954 Deserializer is compatible with both DS90UB953 and DS90UB913A/DS90UB933A Serializer
    If you are looking for CSI-2 output from the Deserializer, then 954 should be your choice.

    1. 15M is achievable.
    2. If you would like to have CSI-2 output from deserializer, DS90UB960 Deserializer will be another option. It is the Quad 2MP Camera Hub FPD-Link III Deserializer With Dual CSI-2 Output Ports. DS90UB960 is in preproduction, so you could contact your local TI sales rep for more information.

    Thank you for your prompt response,
    We will be using the Serrializer/Serializer with Nvidia Jetson TX2, and the camera ( Image Sensor) is Sony IMX290 capable of CSI-2 serial data output(2 lane/4Lane, RAW10/RAW12 output). Jetson TX2 takes 2-lane .
    Please advise if it is the right choice and good fit with the Jetson TX2 based on your experience.
