Hi,

I have selected the Switch SW504 ( 4_2_LANE ) but the conversion doesnot happen from 4 Lane to 2 Lane DP.

Could you please confirm  the behavior and procedure.

Is there any specific Display Device required to check the switch.

    Srinivas,

    Flipping the switch should result in a PD hard reset and re-configure the pin assignments for 2 or 4 lane.  If the host doesn't support that assignment, it won't enter the DP alt mode and there will be no video.  The dock has a DP to HDMI converter so it shouldn't matter what HDMI sink device is used. If you use the mDP output, some monitors may not support both 2 and 4 lane operation. I cannot provide guidance as to which monitors support 2 or 4 lane operation, but I have personally encountered ones that only supported 4-lane.
