Hello,

We have a customer asking whether or not the EVM's TPD8S300EVM and TPD6S300EVM support the USB-PD standard? I am not seeing this in the datasheets or user's guides. Could someone please have a look?

    Hi Gabriel,

    These devices support the USB-C/PD standards. As a stand-alone EVM, one cannot test to see if it's USB-PD compliant (since no PD communication is communicated to this device) because these devices are protection devices.

    But, our PD controller EVM boards were tested for USB-PD compliance testing and passed. These EVM boards (TPS65981/2/6) have the TPD8s300 and/or TPD6s300 devices on the board when they were tested for USB-PD standards.
