TUSB1046EVM: How to know what to configure the EQ levels

Hello all,

I've been looking into options to prototype a solution to connect a MacBook Pro with an eGPU with DisplayPort output to the LG ultra fine 4k monitor and I've found the TUSB1046 to be a viable solution. I am stuck at what EQ levels to configure the controls in order for all this to work plug and play.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The EQ settings needed for the TUSB1046 is dependent on your layout and your cables loss profile. I suggest you start with a low EQ setting and increase it until it work.

Would I change the EQ levels equally among all the different controls? Also, would this process have to be repeated if I wanted to change out different cables at a later date or would it be cross compatible woth different cables?
