Dear Team,

What's the CC1,CC2 and C_CC1,C_CC2 voltage when floating?

My customer feedback that their measurement result is CC1/CC2 are 0.35V and C_CC1/C_CC2 are 0.6V.

Is this normal?

BTW, the Vpwr are connect to 3.0V which is the same voltage as Qualcomn PD voltage.

  • Yes, this is normal if it completely floating. The expectation is that the CC pins will have either Rd or Rp from the PD controller in which case this will have not effect.

    There isn't a spec for this. The current drive of this floating voltage is 250nA, which is very very weak. Rp of Rd that Type C requires will easily pull this to down to GND or up to supply. Please let us know if there is some issue that customer is seeing due to this in their system.
