DS90UB914A-CXEVM: Issue with Analog LaunchPAD

Part Number: DS90UB914A-CXEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP, USB2ANY

When I open the Analog LaunchPAD software with my device connected, I get two errors. It says,

"The connected <unknown device> has a firmare version (0.0.0.0) that is not supported by the software. A firmware version of 2.5.0.0 (or later) is REQUIRED by this software. An appropriate firmware file was not found, so the firmware cannot be updated. Please contact TI to obtain the required firmware file."

  • Steven,

Are you using USB2ANY module? I suppose you need an external USB2ANY to connect ALP and communicate over I2C. To program USB2ANY, please go the link below and download USB2ANY explorer software
    http://www.ti.com/tool/USB2ANY

The explore software can help you update the firmware on the board to latest version. With USB2ANY module connected to PC, when you start USB2ANY explorer software it should automatically detect and help you update the firmware to the latest version. Let me know if you face issue updating the USB2ANY firmware. If for any reason your USB2ANY firmware is completely erased and the explorer software is not able to detect and update the firmware, a simple additional step is required to put the device into bootloader mode and update. I can elaborate that if needed after you let us know.

    Thanks,
    Vishy
