Hi,

The datasheet status that MAX3232E-Q1 meets or exceeds the requirements of standards.
Do you have anything performance report that indicates the superior performance of MAX3232E-Q1 compares with these industrial standards?








I'm sorry if my question doesn't make sense, because I'm not super familiar with RS-232C standard.

    Ken,

    There are a few electrical characteristics MAX3232E meets or exceeds the standards. For example, the driver output voltage is 5V minimum in the standards, while MAX3232E generates an output voltage higher than that most of case. Another place is the data rate. 20kbps is the limit in the standards, while MAX3232E can support up to 250kbps. Please let me know if you more questions.
