Part Number: PCA9535

I need to know how long this part will be available for, that is how long before it becomes EOL.

  • David,

PCA9535 is an active device and we currently have no plans to designate it as EOL. For reference, you can find TI's obsolescence policy here: www.ti.com/.../product-change-notification.html.

For new designs, though, I would recommend the TCA9535 device if possible. It has the same functionality as PCA9535, but it has some improvements in the design. It supports lower-voltage operation and resolves the errata relating to the interrupt output and power-on-reset functionality defined in the PCA9535 datasheet.

    Thanks that's great.
