hi,

we have TUSB9261DEMO device and it is connected with SATA drive and it is ok.

our requirement is to access mSATA drive, we have designed the hardware which has mini D type connector thru which mSATA is connected.

The interface between TUSB9261DEMO and our hardware is SATA to D-type converter cable.

please suggest what to do to access mSATA thru TUSB9261DEMO.

Hi,
I have tested TUSB9261DEMO with mSATA SSD before using an off-the-shelf SATA-to-mSATA adapter card. The card has built-in voltage regulator to power the mSATA device. For example: www.amazon.com/.../B004YKJ5TE

Hi, we cannot assist with developing this adapter, but you can purchase on here: www.amazon.com/.../ref=twister_B07GDV6DPF
It is not expensive and there are many companies making this kind of adapter. Otherwise, you may refer to mSATA and SATA specification directly if you wish to develop your own.

Hi,

not for developing the adapter to know interface connections between SATA-to-mSATA. we had SATA to eSATA cable but we to have an idea about it. Is there any deviation in SATA-to-mSATA interface.

Hi,

I'm not familiar with eSATA. mSATA and SATA have the same electrical interface. Only the pin mapping and voltage supply are different.

Hi,

please let me know the TUSB9261 detecting memory capacity, since we are facing the problem with 126GB and 256GB and it is fine with 16GB

Hi, there is no limit on drive capacity. It may be some limitation of your disk formatting. I have tested up to 3.0TB without issues. Please try the latest FW on the TUSB9261 product page.

TUSB9261DEMO is detected 256GB drive. it is a format issue.

please let me know apart from adapter, if we do connections through single strand wires is it ok to check SATA to mSATA interface.

Is any buffers required before sata drive like SN75LVCP600SDSKT to sata connector.

Hi Satya,

Single strand wire is not suitable. The data lines must maintain 100-ohm differential impedance. A buffer should not be required unless the trace length is very long.

when we cut short the length of cable the device is detected by TUSB9261DEMO and now it is working fine.
