PCA9535: PCA9535

Part Number: PCA9535

Hi TI pals

May I know what is different between TI part PCA9535 and NXP part PCAL9535A?

Does they pin compatible and replace each other?

Thanks a lot!

Danny

  • Hey Danny,

The first 8 registers of our device and the NXP device are the same. The NXP device is a bit more configurable and has more registers that can be addressed.

For most cases our device can act as a pin to pin replacement but it does not have 100% of the same functionality.

You can compare our table 3 of our datasheet to NXP's table 4 to see the extra registers and the difference between the two devices.

    Thanks,

    -Bobby
