Part Number: TPD2EUSB30A

Hello,

We need to protect a 10/100 ethernet interface.   At present the TPD2EUSB30A is in the circuit, but we're concerned the the reverse breakdown voltage may not be high enough.

Would the TPS2EUSB30 (Non A) be more suitable for this interface?

Don

  • Don,

You are correct that the reverse breakdown might not be high enough. Do you know if you are using a current controlled or a voltage controlled PHY? Is your signal going to 5V or 3.3V?

    Appreciate the timely response,

We are targeting the DP83848I. The PHY is being powered by 3.3V.

The TPD2EUSB30 would be more suitable than the A version but I would say that the TPD2E2U06 would be better suited than either of them. Or if you need a 4 channel device the TPD4E05U06 would work as well.
