Hello,

Our customer use the TPD4E004.

They forgot to connect a bypass capacitor.

Then it failed ESD test.

The customer have a question.

Why does it need a bypass capacitor to VCC?

Hello,

The bypass cap can take some of the current steered by the ESD diodes and also help with keeping the clamping voltage low.

Does it pass when they have the bypass capacitor?

The customer are investigating the cause of fail, now.
I will suggest the customer to connect the bypass capacitor.
