We have a question about UCC5390.

In datasheet p.3 "Changes from Revision E (October 2018) to Revision F ",

Changed creepage and clearance from 9 mm to 8.5 mm in Insulation Specifications and throughout datasheet

Please tell us the impact on our customer about changing the creepage and clearance from 9 mm to 8.5 mm.

What does our customer need to be careful about their board and application?

Hello Nishizawa-san,

The IC physical dimensions, CTI, and the insulation specs (outside of creepage and clearance) have not changed. The minimum creepage is required for a given working voltage depending on the extent of the pollution present in the system environment. The UCC5390DWV working voltage remains the same at 1500Vrms.

This will only affect customers if they have an internal creepage and clearance requirement of >= 9mm.

Hello Nishizawa-san,

The original spec for the wide body creepage and clearance was incorrectly specified.

It should have been >8.5mm creepage and clearance on the original DWV datasheet release.

Size and form of DWV package haven't changed.
You corrected the creepage and clearance of DWV from 9.0mm to 8.0mm without changing the package size and form.

Is this understanding correct?

Yes, your understanding is correct. There is a slight typo in your post. I corrected the creepage and clearance of DWV from 9 mm to 8.5mm without changing the package size and form.
