Currently , we purchased TPS65987-90EVM. Board to validation TPS65987.

We wanted to use Apple Mac book adapter to connect TPS65987 to sink 20V like below:

Also , I got TIDA-050014 .jpt project file from E2E to debug firmware .

What our problem is , we don’t know clearly for application customization tool’s setup

Can your team give us a Firmware sample ?

Please use GPIO13 high to control output DC20V directly .

Hi Willing,

After you have downloaded the Application Customization Tool you can find the user's guide for the tool under the "Documents" tab. It should fully explain how to use the tool to meet your needs.

Can you help check my jpt file , GPIO15/GPIO17/GPIO20 was selected to choose PDOs as sink , set GPIO15 = 1, GPIO17 =0 , GPIO20= 0 , it should sink voltage at min 12v, max 15V ,

but it output 20V .

Hi Willing,

In your Transmit Sink Capabilities Register, you have a Variabl Sink PDO as SINK PDO3 set from 15V to 20V. The TPS65987D will accept the highest power offered by the source. Please remove your Sink PDO3 and you should sink 15V as you expect.

remove PDO 3, I am trying 3 setting , can you explain more , the truth table is 0 0 1 , it should select PDO 2 right ? , but it seemed not work

Hi Willing,

Your GPIOs are set to the Source Truth Table events. However, your configuration is set up to only act as a Sink. I would suggest using Sink GPIO events instead.

load some project file don' t have Sink PDO TT1/TT2/TT3 item,

disable all the GPIO event EXCEPT GPIO 15/17/20 to Sink PDO TT1->"1"/TT2->"0"/TT3->"0"

but it still not work ,would you kindly check the attachment

Hi Willing,

Now you only have a 5V and 12V sink capability configured. If you are using an adaptor that does not support 12V, it will only allow for 5V. Please ensure your adaptor will allow for 12V.
