TPD6S300: TPD6S300 Pin 16 17 connection question

Dear,

For TPD6S300, the datasheet suggest to connect PIN16, 17 NC pins to ground, but to compatible design with TPD8S300, if the pins 16 and 17 be float? is there any concerns?

Hello John,

Please follow the reference design of connecting pins 16 and 17 to GND as they are connected to internal reference circuitry.

If the pins are not connected to the ground, then the working will be abnormal? am I right?

Hello John,

Yes, the recommended configuration has pins 16 and 17 connected to GND. Can not guarantee functionality or normal operation if these pins are left floating.
