TIC10024-Q1: High side Switch Sensor

Part Number: TIC10024-Q1

I'd like to use TIC10024-Q1 as 24 High side Switch Sensor.

According to Spec sheet , only 10 inputs  allow High side Switch, but 14 inputs are used for Low Side Switch.

My plan is followigs.

1. Put 22kohm between each input and ground.

2.Set Wetting Current 0mA

3.Set THRES_COMP = 2.0V (for example)

4. Each input is connected to High side Switch (Switch's another terminal is connected to VBAT)

Will ths operation work well?

Looking forward comments.

  • Hi Matsuzaki- san,

If the wetting current is set to 0mA, then it doesn't matter which input you are using- All 24 inputs can be used for high or low side switch, since only the comparator is at play here.

The configuration you described should operate fine.

    Thank you,

    Helen

    There is one imploving idea.

In Spec Sheet, max IIN_LEAK_0mA = 110uA , this means that  22kOhms will make 2.42V without High side switch on.

So,  THRES_COMP = 2.0V is not good for this application, and it must be set 4.0V.

To get margin , I decidde to use 15kOhms which generates 1.65Vmax but it is enough uder 4.0V.

Thank you again for your support .
