TUSB522P: TUSBEVM

Part Number: TUSB522P

Hi,

The schematics connection between host and TUSB522P is different between TUSB522PEVM (SLLU244-August2016) and TUSB522P(SLLSEV9B-July2016-Revised November 2017).

On page 11 of TUSB522P(SLLSEV9B-July2016-Revised November 2017), USB Host TXN and TXP are connected to TUSB522P RX1N and RX1P respectively. This is Tx to RX.

On Page 6 of TUSB522PEVM (SLLU244-August2016), USB recepticle TXN and TXP are connected to TUSB522P TX1N and TX1P respectively. This is Tx to Tx.

Best regards,

FuLien

The datasheet shows the connection between a embedded USB host and TUSB522P, while the EVM shows the connection between a Type B receptacle and TUSB522P.

If you looking at the USB cable assembly wiring, SSTX is connected to SSRX, and SSRX is connected to SSTX. So for the EVM, the entire connection will be

Host (SSTX) ------ SSTX (Type A Receptacle) ------ SSRX (Type B Receptacle) ------ TUSB522P RX

Host (SSRX) ------ SSRX (Type A Receptacle) ------ SSTX (Type B Receptacle) ------- TUSB522P TX

The receptacle always defines SSTX as transmit (going out) and SSRX as receive (coming in).

    Thanks
