DS125BR820: VOD quesiton

Hello

         what is different and relationship between VOD / VID Ratio and VOD_DB ? If we set VOD/VID ratio to 0.57 and VOD set -12dB, what signal we can see on output of 820 ? Thank you.

    Patrick,

    The VOD_DB and VOD controls are similar in the DS125BR820, so we recommend to leave adjustments to the VOD control only.

    The VOD_DB control should be set as recommended (0 dB) is almost all cases. 

    If you set it to -12dB and VOD = 0.57, the output will be extremely small and not usable by the system.  The VOD_DB control makes the whole waveform smaller in the case of the DS125BR820.  I would expect a total attenuation of  -16dB or so at the output.
