Hi,

I'm going to use DP83867CS. We have a SGMII interface but we need only 10 or 100 Mbit/s (no need 1Gbit/s).

Is it possible to use a magnetic trasformer for 10/100BASE (4 wire) instead of a 1000BASE trasformer (8 wire)?

I don't now if is it possible to use only 4 wire of the 8 available.

Hi Giancarlo,

If 1Gb/s is not needed on the MDI, 10/100 transformer can be used and should be connected to pair A and B of the device.

only a question: I connect only pair A and B, but about pair C end D? I can leave they floating?

Pair C and D can be left floating.
