LMH1983: CLKOUT4 VOD, VOS specification

Hi Team,

Could you please allow me to ask you about the CLKOUT4 VOD, VOS, |VOD|,  and |VOS| parameter ?

I can find the specification for CLKOUT1, CLKOUT2, and CLKOUT3 in the datasheet, however, no description for CLKOUT4.

Q1). Can I take as the same as VOD, VOS, |VOD|, |VOS| specification ?

Q2). Are the parameters for CLKOUT4 not tested ?

    I noticed that a similar question has been posted on the forum before: e2e.ti.com/.../786505

    "It is true that the CLKout4 didn't receive the same level of testing, therefore it was not able to be included in the datasheet.

    From what I can see I expect the values to be the same, but cannot be specified in the same way on the datasheet."

    Hi Lane-san,

    Thank you for the information. However, without this specification, how can user guarantee whether CLKOUT4 output is meeting the receiver input specification ?

    Q3). What was the difference in the test result compared with CLKOUT1/2/3 and CLKOUT4 outputs.

    Q4). Is the driver design different between CLKOUT1/2/3 and CLKOUT4 ?

    Q5). At lease, please tell us the design target of the minimum / maximum specification for VOD and VCM of CLKOUT4.

    Hi Kawai-san,

    I asked the team and was told that "CLKout4 cannot be tested with parametric accuracy required for LVDS specs, missing test mode. Mark to change in datasheet".

    So it seems like we weren't able to screen the CLKout4 in ATE and that's why we removed the data of CLKout4 in the datasheet.

    We can only assume that it's the same with the other three outputs but cannot guarantee it since it's not screened by ATE.

    Hi Hao-san,

    Thanks for the confirmation.

    I understood as that CLKOUT4 driver has the same design with the other CLKOUT1,2, or 3. Am I correct ?
    If it is, it would be much easier to be understood.

    However, without the specification, user may not be able to use this function.
    Would it be possible to test changing the ATE program or would it be possible to guarantee by design ?

    Hi Kawai,

    Yes the driver designs are the same. To request change of screening program and characterization. Please ask the FAE to submit a request on "helpme" sharepoint. The details will be further discussed.
