TVS1800: Surge protection device

Part Number: TVS1800

Team,

I find that most of our surge protection deives can achieve 1kV protection. Do we have cost down version that can just achieve 200V protection? Is TVS1800 the cheapest one?

Regards,

Nic

What is the impedance on the 200V surge? It is better to describe surge in terms of current than voltage. For example, most of our devices are rated for 1kV/42ohm surge which means it is 24A. 200V could be very different in terms of what the current is. Please see this white paper that describes this in more detail: www.ti.com/.../slyy152.pdf

    Thanks
