DS90UH925Q-Q1: 2.2uF Capacitor for CAPL12, CAPP12 and CAPHS12

Part Number: DS90UH925Q-Q1

Hi FPD-Link team,

I received an advice request from my customer.
Now they are using(already in production) UH301 with 4.7uF capacitor for CAPL12, CAPP12 and CAPHS12 following the datasheet recommendation but, MLCC supplier Will EOL it.
Since the PAD size is 1005, there is no 6.8uF, 10uF or higher capacitance so, they have to replace the 4.7uF with 2.2uF.
Have your team supported a customer who use 2.2uF capacitor for CAPL12, CAPP12 and CAPHS12 terminal ever before?
They are going to use 2.2uF capacitor with responsibility in the customer if the link performance and all other operation work stable under their expected environment and conditions.
Do you think is there a possibility that it work stable?

Regards,

  • Hi Hirai-san,

The UH301 was characterized with 4.7uF on CAPxxx.

The CAPxxx is used for the stability of the internal power supply.

I do not know if substituting the 4.7uF with 2.2uF is stable across PVT (Process Voltage Temperature).

    Regards,
