DS125BR820: Termination

Part Number: DS125BR820

Hi Sir

if set RXDET to HI-Z ,the high speed signal can't go through from input to output , is it correct ?

  • Hi,

With RXDET = Hi-Z it is still possible for a signal to propagate through the DS125BR820.  There will still be a 100 ohm differential termination on the input pins.  The RXDET = Hi-Z control disconnects the termination center tap connection to AC GND.

The amount of signal propagated and signal fidelity is not possible to define.  It largely depends on the input common mode voltage which is a Hi-Z node in the circuit.

    Regards,

    Lee
