SN65HVD30-EP: RTCA/DO 160 Lightning Protection

Part Number: SN65HVD30-EP

I have a customer that has designed in the SN65HVD30-EP for an application that has to comply with RTCA/DO-160, section 22,  Lighting Induced Transient Susceptibility.  Waveform 5A (40us rise, 80us falling to 50%), harshest ground injection is 750V/2250A, pin injection 750V/750A.

How susceptible is this device to lightning strikes?  If there is some inherent susceptibility, what's the best way to protect the device?

Are there alternatives in the portfolio (preferably -55C to 125C op temp) that have integrated protection against lightning strikes?

Thanks.
