    Hi Frank,

    Electrically there is no problem with 10G signals on A and 8G signals on B.  The potential problem will be any Rx Detect operations with PCIe signals.  Would this application have to support hot insertion and removal?  If "yes" then there will need to be active SMBus control to reset the Rx Detect circuits on the B-bank signals connected to the PCIe link.
