Hi Sir,

Could we use its GPIOs to detect DP output 4K signal or not and provide pull high/low level to host?

    Hi Driscoll,

    The TPS65988 has a GPIO event for DP Mode entered. This will toggle a GPIO when Display Port Mode has been entered. This can be configured using the TPS6598x Application Customization Tool. Since the TPS65988 does not touch the superspeed signals or the Aux/SBU signals, it does not know what the resolution of the DP output is. It will only be able to tell you if the DP alternate mode has been entered or not.
