TIC12400-Q1: Chattering spec of input? or how long does the input above threshold must be held to be recognized high or low?

Part Number: TIC12400-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIC12400

Hi team,

Can you answer the following question from customer?

Is there any chattering spec for each channel input of TIC12400-Q1?

That is, how long does the input above threshold must be held to be recognized high or low? On the contrary, how short can the input be ignored?

Thanks,

Sam Lee

  • Sam,

The TIC12400 has a detection filter where you can adjust the sensitivity of the device to "chatter".  You can define how many consecutive polling cycles the input needs to be at the same sate before an interrupt is generated.  More information can be found in section 8.3.9.5 of the datasheet.

    Thank you,

    Adam
