TCA9539: /INT signal when SCL is not supplied.

Part Number: TCA9539

Hi

Could you please let me know about the behavior of /INT signal when SCL is not supplied? It is not asserted. Is it correct?

If IN signal is inputted when SCL is not supplied. Then /INT pin will be asserted when SCL is supplied?

At reset, the I/Os are configured as inputs, right?

  • Hey Muk,

"At reset, the I/Os are configured as inputs, right?"

    That is correct.

The INT circuitry should assert/de-assert regardless of SCL being high or low. Only during the 9th clock  (ACK) of a input read does the INT reset. You should think of the INT as independent from the SCL unless there is an ACK.
