DS10BR150: can this part help to improve the LVDS eye diagram for below condition?

Hi, 

My customer is trying to improve the LVDS eye diagram. Because the cable is long and the want to improve from the receiver side, will our device be a proper device to overcome this issue? 

 In addition, since LVDS signal is also have some timing requirement, do we have the related device for the timing correction? 

From my understanding, buffer should only be able to correct the amplitude from either PE or EQ.

Please let us know if we also have part for both timing and amplitude correction.

    Hi,

    The DS10BR150 does not include an equalization function to improve the eye opening.  This application will require a device like the DS25BR110 which can be placed at the Rx end of the cable and help to open the eye. 

    What is the datarate of the customer application?

    Thanks for your reply, please refer to below operating condition: 

    1. LVDS CLK: about 40MHz
    2. LVDS data: about 300Mbps
    3. FFC (flexible flat cable) length: about 40 inch

    Do you need any extra information? 

    Please let us know what part will you suggest to used in this case? will it still be DS25BR110?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the information.  The datarate is too low for the DS25BR110 equalizer to be an optimal solution.  Do you have the cable attenuation characteristics for frequencies up to 300 MHz?  In many cases a 1 meter cable will not need equalization help to drive 300 Mbps.
