I want to use TIOL111 in my design. i want to derive L+ and L- internally of my PCB and only i want to expext CQ externally. Can  i do like this or not ?

  • Hello,

Yes, I do not see an issue with this idea. Just note that the CQ output will track L+ when the device is transmitting and the L+ voltage can have some impact on the receiver input thresholds when receiving.

Thank you for your replay. So i can expect only CQ line , right.

  • In reply to PULLA RAO CHILAKALA:

Yes, that's right.  You system can just receive the CQ line; it doesn't need L+/L- supplied externally as long as they can be generated somehow.

If L- doesn't connect to the system that is providing CQ, though, you should be careful about potential differences between that system's ground and L-, since this could cause apparent shifts in the voltage on CQ.
