THVD2450: alternative to the LTC2862A

Hi guys!

I hope all is well!

I found at one of my customer the LTC2862A, they only need a fault bus voltage of 40V since on the two pins of the BUS a voltage of 24 Vdc with respect to ground is injected in their application; do you believe the THVD2450 is the right device?

    Hi Adrian,

    Yes, I think THVD2450 is a great choice here.  There isn't a transceiver in the ~40-V range to my knowledge, and having the extra margin certainly won't hurt (since short-circuit conditions are often accompanied by initial overshoots due to cable inductance).  If you have any questions on the device please just let us know.
