DS100DF410: AC coupling on TX

Part Number: DS100DF410

Team,

In the datasheet, there was a requirement to Must AC coupling on the TX and there is no mention of common mode voltage. My receiver has internal AC coupling but has a restriction on the input common mode voltage and differential voltage. Can you please let me know what would be the common mode without AC coupling? Or do I have to add external capacitors, what would be the impact if we don't have AC coupling capacitors

Regards

  • Hi Syed,

Since your receiver already has AC coupling cap, there is no need for using extra AC coupling cap. With AC coupling on your receiver side, it isolates common mode voltages of DS100DF410 and your receiver. So you don't need to worry about common mode voltage settings. Please make sure differential output amplitude of the DS100DF410 is within the limit of your receiver requirement.

    Regards,, Nasser
