DS110DF1610: Question about customer / standard data rate

Hi,

      Customer want to check the CDR lock fucnction.  The SFP output  frequency is 10.3125 Ghz.

In the first test ,they set the  data rate same as SFP using STANDARD data rate method. Refer to d/s 7.2.1 Data Rate Selection (Rate/Sub-Rate Table). Then the CDR was locked.  

The second test, They set the data rate different from SFP unsing manual data rate method . Then CDR was loss of lock. 

The third test, They set the data rate same as SFP using manual data rate method. The CDR was locked.

The question is on the fourth test. They set the data rate different from SFP using standard method,but the CDR still show lock.

I had checked every time they change the data rate they reset CDR. Customer want to know if STANDARD data rate not match the input signal  frequency

Whether or not the ds110df1610 automatic using manual data rate setting?
