TCA9539-Q1: Do you have the MCU of 2 port I2C to LIN at automotive application

Part Number: TCA9539-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLIN1029-Q1, TCA6424A

Hi sir,

Please suggest solution for below request from my customer, thanks a lot!

Do you have the MCU of 2 port I2C to lin at automotive application.

Do you have more than 18 IOs?

Thanks a lot for support!

Best Regards,

Sean Liao

  • Hi Sean,

We do not have an I2C-to-LIN solution at the moment, if that is what you are asking.  Note that we do of course have a portfolio of LIN transceivers (like TLIN1029-Q1) that could interface to the LIN port of an MCU.  May I ask why you wanted to convert from I2C?  Is the MCU not able to support the LIN protocol?

For GPIO expanders with >18 ports, you could see TCA6424A.  It supports up to 24 GPIOs.  If Q1 qualification is needed, though, this may not be an option.

    Regards,
    Max
