DP83822H: PHY DP83822H

Part Number: DP83822H

Hi Team,

My customer trying to connect the PHY DP83822H to a MAC

Their configuration is:

1)      Interface MII

2)      Speed 100M

3)      Duplex – Full

4)      MDIO option

5)      The output is magnetic

 

Please advise if they need a hardware bootstrap (pullup, pulldown resistors), if so help me to finalize the schematics.

    Hi Shiomi, 

    Your customer can choose to either use bootstraps or program the device through register writes. Bootstraps may be more convenient, as they can be used to set the device without the use of software. Please review section 8.5 of the datasheet for the proper bootstrap configuration for each of these functions.
