TUSB522PEVM: USB 3.0 Redriver - Not documented function ?

Hello,

my customer wants to use this device and has questions:

There are pins 7 and 24, which are in datasheet described as NC (not connected).But in the Evaluation module TUSB522PEVM are these pins connected

Pin 7 = MODE

Pin 24 = RSVD1

MODE or RSVD1 functionality is not described in datasheet or EVMs documentation.

What I’m missing in documentation is description, how this redriver can be switch to compliance measurement mode. It can be probably done with MODE pin 7. But this is NOT DOCUMENTED in TI documements at all…

Hi Marion,

The Mode and RSVD1 headers are a hold over from a previous design. For TUSB522P the pin descriptions in the datasheet are correct. The compliance mode for TUSB522P is apart of the internal state machine and does not require a external pin strap setting. What kind of testing are you doing? I may be able to provide some guidance.
