DS250DF410: DS250DF410ABMR 25Gbps link fail

Hi,

(1)   Please refer figure.  I want to linkup between TOR port0 and port1 by 25G.

 

l   We can detected signals and CDR can locked. But can’t linkup by 25G. Have parameter can I try to setting on SigCon tool?

(Note : We can linkup by 10G)

 

(2)   We have another configuration which is  retimer cascade topology as below.

Is there anything we need to pay attention to? And how to tune the EQ,DFE …. about this topology?

    Hi,

    Please confirm whether 25.78125Gbps is the data rate in question. If so, the retimer by default locks to this data rate. I would suggest to use adapt mode 2 for this case. Using SigCon Architect you may go to the Rx EQ tab, click on adapt mode 2, then click on apply to channel and reset CDR.

    I don't foresee an issue with cascading two retimers, so long as retimer input channel loss is greater than 4dB.
