PCA9546A: PCA9546 one Slave powered off and the rest of the slaves locked up;

Part Number: PCA9546A

HI,

How does the the disabling of channels using control register  disconnect the pass fets inside the PCA9546A?

1. does it drive the gate voltage to ground when disabled?

2. Am using 3 slaves on the downstream and i disabled the power to one slave and the slave pulls the SDA and SCL to ground using the internal TVS diodes which locks the rest of the 2 bus

My question is:

Even if i disable the channel which is powered off i dont think the rest of the 2 which is powered on will work as the pass fets have the source drain diode connecting to ground.

If so whats the true purpose of the disable switch?

I understand am using a switch and not a mux.

BR,
