Hi,

I want to use Ethernet Phy TLK110PT product in my project. But we encountered the following warning on the TI site. Will we encounter a problem in providing this product in the future? If the product is not available, Can you recommend a different product that is pin to pin and the same specifications?

    Hello Cagla,

    I would recommend you use the DP83822 or DP83826 in your project.

    Hi Vibhu, 

    Thank you for your return. I examined the IC's  which you advised me and I found two circuit. I wan to use AM335X processor and get reference AM335X ICE Board but When I examine Ethernet circuit in the ICE Board I saw that both MII and RMII protocol was used. By the way, I saw the second circuit which was used DP83867I. MII protocol was used in the second circuit. The circuits are similar to each other but I also saw some differences.  I shared both circuits below. I have some questions.

    • Can I used second circuit in my project instead of first circuit without changing?
    • Which changing should I make in second circuit for using in my project?
    • Also I want to use linux arago If I use second circuit in my project Do I have to make changing in kernel?

    Hi,

    DP83867 is Gigabit PHY and is not form factor compatible. We recomend to use DP83822. You can choose MII or RMII based on your current design implementation.
