Hi team,
Could you kindly advise the below ?
- Are there clamp diodes in DP83822 ?
- Please let us know the value of internal pull-up and pull-down resister.
Thank you and best regards,
Michiaki

Hi Michiaki,
Please refer to the Electrical Characteristics in our datasheets for the internal pull up and pull down resistor values.
This can be found in section 7.5
Thank you,
Cecilia
Hi Cecilia,
Could you kindly advise whether there are clamp diodes or not ?
Thank you and best regards,
Michiaki
Hi Michiaki,
Are the clamp diodes you're thinking of also known as ESD diodes? We have those in the DP83822.
Thanks,
Cecilia
Hi Michiaki,
May I ask what the purpose of understanding the different types of diodes internally is for?
Thanks,
Cecilia
Hi Cecilia,
Customer would like to know whether there is clamp diode to positive power supply ot not.
Thank you and best regards,
Michiaki
Hi Michiaki,
How do the different types of clamp diodes affect the customer's decision for the DP83822? I'd like to understand their design and why it is important.
Thanks,
Cecilia
Hi Cecilia,
Our customer has faced the issue which is seen the remaining voltage even though the system turned off.
So customer would like to know DP83822 has clap diode to positive side or not.
I would much appreciate we got your support.
Thank you and best regards,
Michiaki
Hi Michiaki,
I will have to contact our design team to find out about the clamp diodes.
Thanks,
Cecilia
Hi Cecilia,
Sorry for pushing you but could you kindly share the latest situation ?
Thank you and best regards,
Michiaki
Hi Michiaki,
I can only confirm with you that we do have the clamp diodes on all of our pins as they are spec'd in our datasheet. However, the details of our design cannot be published on the web as it is confidential design info.
In the customer design, can you explain to me more why they are still seeing a voltage when the system is off? What pins are they still seeing a voltage on? Is there anything else supplied to the PHY?
Thanks,
Cecilia
